1 Year on Blog-o-sphere

Yaaaaay!

December 22nd, 2007…..this was the date on which I penned down my first ever post on Blogspot, dedicated to someone….Its been a year and a bit since then, and I have shifted from Blogspot to the more exciting WordPress……a lot of things happened in this one year…….situations changed, people changed…even I changed in many ways. I also happened to make quite a few new friends here in this period. This post is dedicated to all of them 🙂 …May this New Year bring in a lot of happiness and prosperity in all your lives. CHEERS! 🙂

Politically Speaking….

For the last few days, my mind has been influenced a lot by the anti-government protests and the blame-game that was highlighted by the media. So much so that I can actually feel different parts of my brain acting out different roles inside. A brief excerpt of this is as follows-

Common man– ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! We want action now! For the last 10 days, you have only been making promises of studying seriously and making elaborate plans to ‘finish off’ these terrorists (read subjects) which are emerging out of VTU. But no action has been taken so far !!

Politician– I know you are angry…but you must understand that we are doing our level best in ensuring the welfare of our country (by wasting huge amounts of time on Facebook), and we’ll see to it that these 6 terrorists meet the fate that they deserve.

Common man– I don’t believe you! You set out making plans of killing the terrorists, one on each day; but so far, none of them have even been touched, forget being eliminated! Isn’t this an intelligence failure on your part??!!!

Politician– My good friend, this is not at all an intelligence failure. We have been attacking all the terrorists right from day one. We have also sent out a strong statement to our enemy VTU to take steps to stop this torture immediately. Moreover, it is the opposition that has been creating problems by wasting a lot of resources on nefarious activities like Facebook, Orkut and WordPress! It is they who are to blame, not us.

Opposition leader (another part of the brain) – We strongly condemn these allegations! If the government had acted strongly against these terrorists right from the beginning, Nikkiland wouldn’t have been in the kind of crisis it is today….we have always maintained that we’ll support the government in whatever positive action they take….If we come to power, we’ll make sure that stringent measures are taken to ensure that our land is restored of its peace.

Common man (not impressed) – I think all of you suck! Corrupted to the core! Instead of blaming each other, if you had joined hands in fighting against these extremists, today atleast 3 subjects could have been killed. But now, they are still roaming around freely!!

(In comes a TV news reporter from yet another part of the brain!)
“BREAKING NEWS!! We are now getting exclusive reports of a major gun battle between Jamaat-ud-Java and some commandos in the northern half of Dimaak-istan. There are also reports of widespread protests against VTU throughout the nation. That brings us to our question of the day. Will the government manage to exterminate these 6 terrorists completely within the next seven days?? Voice your opinions by typing VTU, followed by a space, your name and your message and send it to 420420. For more updates on all the happenings, tune in to TIMES HOW at 9 PM. Goodbye for now 🙂 “

20 hours to go, for what would be the biggest exam I’ve written in my life….and frankly, I’m not feeling all that nervous….maybe watching too much of  “Mr. Cool” Captain Dhoni has influenced me 😀 ….but yes, the excitement is still there, because in my 21 years of existence, I think this is the first time that I’ll be putting myself under extreme pressure conditions for 150 minutes! And whatever happens tomorrow, whether I do extremely well or extremely bad or just about average, life won’t be the same after those 150 precious minutes (ok this sounds a bit too filmy, but I can’t help feeling that way! 🙂 )  ….I am ready to look at my CAT in the eye! 8)

To be on an isolated beach with a special someone – especially on a moon-lit night ( yea i know its very filmi 😛 )….

One more dream is to take my dad on a world tour…6 years back, my parents took me to Europe during the holidays….now I want to do the same 🙂

3. Whose butt would you like to kick?

Hmmmm….there are many….Himesh Reshammiya tops the list I guess….

4. What would you do with a billion dollars?

Convert it to rupees.

5. Will you fall in love with your best friend?

Sure, as long as Kanthaa-ben is not around 😀

6. Which is more blessed, loving someone or being loved by someone?

Being loved by the one you love- I think that’s the best thing that can happen to a person…. just knowing that there is someone who adores you as much as you do brings in a lot more joy and colour to life 🙂

7. How long do you intend to wait for someone you really love?

Till 12 a.m …I usually go to sleep after that! 🙂

But on a more serious note, my heart would tell me to wait forever, whereas my mind would tell me to move on……..

8. If the person you secretly like is already attached, what would you do?

I would make her tie me a rakhi so that I can still love her, although in a different way.

9. If you like to act with someone, who will it be? Your gf/bf or an actress/actor?

Most definitely my gf !  …and if my gf is also an actress, then nothing like it ( Teri Ore… Teri Ore… Teri Ore… Hai Rabba 🙂 )

10. What takes you down the fastest?

The gravitational pull of the earth. ( If I can trust my memory, the value of acceleration due to gravity is 9.8 metres/second squared, which is quite a big number 😛 )

11. How would you see yourself in ten years time?

Hmmmm…..as happy as I am today……recruiting many freshers from MSRIT to work in my company 🙂

12. What’s your fear?

Staying alone at home for long hours, although I am quite used to it by now.

13. What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is?

Very energetic, very talkative! 😀

14. Would you rather be single and rich or married but poor?

Happily married but poor 🙂

15. What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?

Try to remember which song I was singing in my dream 😀

Totally. I think this is the second thing I fear- giving in more than required.

Pretty simple. The one who loves me too….and if both love me, then I’ll toss a coin! 😀

If its really horrible, then I don’t think so.

19. Do you prefer being single or having a relationship?

I like doing new things. So after playing domestic matches for 21 years, I don’t mind making my debut in International matches now 😀

My first tag!

Swat tagged me to come up with some of my quirks. So here I go, making my tag debut 🙂

1.)  I always tend to link things and events with cricket or with some ‘tech’ stuff i listen hear in class. So, most of the time you’ll find me getting off the mark with why some process is not making remote procedure calls to another process, or why one friend function is always bowling bouncers at me everyday, inspite of the pitch being conducive for batting 😀

2.)  If I go to a new place at night, I can’t find my way to the same place during daytime (and vice versa)…good that I’m not a sailor or a pilot.

3.)  Of late, I have become very moody. I remember a day when I cried for a long time due to something, and within seconds, I was back to normal! Dunno how it works, but hey, its one of my quirks (rhymes, doesn’t it?! So that is my next point 😛 )

4.)  Again, of late, I have been writing 4-liner poems which go to every single friend’s message inbox ( I don’t care if I’m bugging them or not, just want to keep showcasing my ‘literary talent’ 😀 )

5.)  I am regularly irregular- don’t remember when was the last time I reached any place on time (maybe in kindergarten) …now in college, I always reach early for the second class.

6.)  I can come up with some of the most innovative PJ’s…sometimes people actually feel like laughing at them! 😀 …hehe

My mind has been context switching from good mood to extremely good mood to bad mood to pensive mood for quite sometime now. I have been talking crap most of the time , and I’m sure I have eaten many a head with my silly one-liners! ( To all those who are already bugged of my crap-talk, I would like to tell you that I’ll continue to eat your head! MUHAHAHAHA  😎   ) ….but on a more serious note, I am beginning to understand that life, on the whole, is a positive experience. Shit happens sometimes, but there are also other times when you feel that you are on top of the world….every single day teaches you something, if you are willing to learn. When I look back at my past now, I feel life could not have shaped up more perfectly; because an imperfect life is the most perfect one! 🙂 …I don’t have any regrets, nor am I ashamed of anything, as I used to be earlier. Just want to keep a positive attitude throughout, so that I can enjoy each moment of this wonderful journey 🙂
